Reis Magos Fort:
In the year of 1551 the Portuguese Viceroy Alfonso de Noronha constructed this fort. The wall of this fort became a defensive wall when the Portuguese were at war with the Marathas in the year of 1739.You can visit here everyday from 9:30 in the morning to 5 in the evening. Some nearby attractions are Redi Ganpati Temple and keri beach. You can take a taxi or you can take an auto from North Goa.There is no entry fee to visit here. Reis Magos Fort is situated 7 kilometres from Panaji Kadamba Bus stand.
Terekhol Fort:
This first is located on the Terekhol river. This fort was built by Raja of Sawantwadi Viceroy Pedro Miguiel de Almeida in the 17th century. This is the house of the Chapel Of St. Anthony.Here you can also visit some places like Palolem beach and Arambol beach. One can visit here by using public transport. You can also book a taxi or an auto from any place in North Goa. There is no entry fee to visit here.This fort is open everyday from 9 am in the morning to 5:30 pm in the evening.
Cabo De Rama Fort:
Cabo De Rama Fort is also known as Cap of Rama. This fort was reconstructed by the Portuguese in the year of 1763. From Panaji Kadamba Bus stand it is 60 kilometres.This fort is open everyday from 9 am in the morning to 5:30 pm in the evening. Some nearby top attractions are Kakolem beach and Agonda beach.There is no entry fee to visit here.
Aguada Fort:
Aguada fort was built in 1609 to 1612 by the Portuguese.One can visit here every day from 9 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. On the northern side of this fort a brown laterite just enters the bay to form a jetty between two small sandy coves. This amazing spot is called Sinquerim beach.This fort is situated on the Aguada siolim Rd and this fort can be easily accessible by road. Goa sightseeing is incomplete without seeing or visiting this fort in Aguada. If you want to visit here then you don’t need any entry fee.
Se Cathedral:
Se Cathedral church is known as the largest Asian church. Everyday from 7 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening you can visit here. This amazing church is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. This church was built in 1609 to 1612 by Juliao Simao.. From Panaji Kadamba Bus stand it is 9 kilometres. If you want to visit here then you don’t need any entry fee.This church was established as a tribute to St. Catherine.
Bom Jesus Basilica:
This is a famous tourist spot in Goa. It has an architecture called “Baroque architecture”. The beautiful detailing, amazing carves will simply blow your mind. From Panaji this church is 10 kilometres. You can take a taxi from Panaji. A taxi will take 20 minutes to reach here. It was built in the year of 1608 to 1612 by the Portuguese. This church is open from Monday to Saturday 9 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening and Sunday 10 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. If you want to visit this church then you don’t need any entry fee.
Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary:
This sanctuary is Goa’s second largest wildlife reserve.Here you can spot sloth bears, hyenas, malabar crested eagle, monkeys etc.Everyday from 9 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening you can visit here. You can simply book a taxi or a cab from Panaji. The total distance is 60 kilometres from the south Panaji.
Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary:
This sanctuary is situated in Mollem village. Mollem village is situated in Sanguem Taluka.It is open everyday from 6:00 am in the morning to 6:30 pm in the evening. One can book a taxi from Panaji to reach here. From Panaji it is a total of 10 kilometres. The sanctuary was known by the name Mollem Game sanctuary.In the year of 1969 it was given the name “Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary”.
Aguada Beach:
This amazing beach is well known for honeymooners.This beach will soothe your eyes.Do visit here.
Anjuna Beach:
This is one of the most popular places in Goa. This beach is also known for its full moon parties. This amazing beach is located in the northern side of Goa.
