The Geekom Mini IT8 is not a spectacular mini PC, but it can still be a good portable office solution, thanks to its beefy i5-8259U processor and licensed Windows 11 Pro operating system. It has a sturdy PC-ABS chassis that has excellent ventilation, and it weighs just over 600 grams. The glossy plastic on the top of the device can easily attract fingerprints, which isn’t a good thing, especially since it’s so small. The two side grills on the front panel help to air out the unit and keep the 28W CPU cool.
The GEEKOM Mini IT8 is equipped with an Intel Core i5-8259U processor, which is about the same as an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H. The Intel integrated graphics, however, fall short. While the Iris Plus 655 is one of the best integrated GPUs available, its performance can’t match the AMD Vega. It is not yet AMD Vega-compatible.

If you need more power, this mini-PC is capable of supporting AMD’s Ryzen 7 Pro 4750G processor. This processor is part of AMD’s mid-2020 Renoir-class chip line. It features eight cores and a turbo speed of 4.4GHz. It is only available through grey-market sources, and is targeted at PC makers. While it’s an impressive mini-PC, it is limited by its processor.
While the DeskMini X300W Windows 11-compatible mini pc is capable of light gaming, its on-chip Radeon graphics provide better performance than integrated graphics. In some tests, it was even faster than some of the competing systems. In our review, we were impressed by its performance, and we are looking forward to purchasing it.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Tiny
Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M70q Tiny is a compact mini PC that can attach to a monitor. It can be equipped with a 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10900T vPro processor and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. It can be configured with more ports as required. The machine is quiet and can withstand intensive workloads.
The ThinkCentre M70q Tiny measures 7.2 inches across its longest side, with a Raven Black chassis for a modern, sleek look. It is easy to install and is equipped with multiple mounting kits. It can be placed horizontally or vertically for maximum flexibility. If you plan to use it in your office, consider purchasing a ThinkCentre Vertical Stand to mount it on the wall.
If you don’t mind spending more money, you can always choose between the HP ProDesk 400 G6 or the HP ThinkCentre M70q Tiny, which are both very similar models. The M80q Tiny, on the other hand, has a faster Intel processor that uses less power and runs at a higher speed than the M70q Tiny. However, it’s hard to predict availability of either model.
While Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M70q Tiny Windows 10 compatible mini PC can be purchased from Amazon for less than $500, the Surface Studio 2 barely makes the cut due to its updated CPU specifications. And while there are several Windows 11 compatible models available on Amazon, the cheaper Core i5-1135G7 has less powerful hardware. However, if you’re on a tight budget, consider the cheaper Core i5-1135G7 model. A 16GB RAM and a 2TB SSD are both recommended options.
